Band Program Overview

The band program allows students to learn to play one of 11 instruments with weekly practice sessions and opportunities to perform throughout the year.

The band program is available for students in grades 4 through 8. Classes start week of September 11, 2017 and end the week of May 14, 2018 (32 weeks). Instruments include: clarinet, trumpet, trombone, flute, French horn, and drums. Woodwinds will have classes after school on Mondays and Wednesdays. Brass and Percussion will have both in-school classes as well as individual lessons during after-school. The schedule will be arranged with Mr. Sylvester. The entire ensemble will meet on Fridays for group practice. Three concerts are performed throughout the year: the Nativity in December, BC Idol and another in the spring. The cost of the program for the year is $600. Various payment options are available.

Saint Columbkille Partnership School has a small number of trombones and French horns that are available to rent.
