Directions and Parking

From Points North and South

Take Interstate 95 (Route 128) to Exit 24 (Route 30).
Proceed east on Route 30, also known as Commonwealth Avenue, and follow for about five miles to Boston College.
Enter BC at the second entrance on the right, at St. Ignatius Church, and then turn left down More Drive.
Take the second right into parking lot.
Parking garage and Alumni Stadium are to the left.

From Points West

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) to Exit 17.
At the first set of lights off the exit ramp, take a right onto Centre Street.
Follow Centre Street to the fourth set of lights, and turn left onto Commonwealth Avenue. Follow Commonwealth Avenue 1-1/2 miles to Boston College.
Follow above directions to Alumni Stadium.

From Downtown Boston

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) to Exit 17.
Take a left over the bridge after passing the Sheraton Tara Hotel.
Take the first right onto Centre Street.
Follow above directions from Centre Street.

Public Transportation

The Boston College branch of the MBTA’s “Green Line” (B) ends at the foot of the campus on Commonwealth Avenue.
Cross the street and walk by St. Ignatius Church.

5K Course

The 5k starts inside BC’s Alumni Stadium at the 50 Yard Line and runs through lower campus in the shadows of Doug Flutie’s Heisman Trophy in front of the Yawkey Athletic Building, down the Boston Marathon’s famed Heartbreak Hill, loops through one of Newton’s exclusive neighborhoods, through BC’s Middle Campus, and finishes back at the 50 yard line of Alumni Stadium.

Kids 1K course

Kids age 4 and younger will run 50 yards on the Alumni Stadium Field.   Kids 5-7 and 8-11 will run a 1k loop that starts and finishes at the 50 yard line with a loop around lower campus.

Awards

  • Awards to top 3 overall male & female finishers in the 5k
  • Awards to top 3 men & women in the 5k in the following age groups:
  • 8 and younger, 9-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
  • * Overall Top 3 males and females will be presented with awards at the finish line.  All age group award winners will receive awards at the awards tent.
