Musical Instruments

Our music program trains students to read, write and perform music under the instruction of our highly skilled music teachers.

Piano (Grades 1 – 8)

Classes start the week of September 11, 2017 and end the week of May 14, 2018. There will be 32 sessions in the school year. The cost of the program for the year is $600. Various payment options are available. Classes will be 30-minute individual lessons Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Time slots will be determined based on student’s ability and communicated by September 8, 2017. Students should have a keyboard to practice at home.

Suzuki Violin (K1 – Grade 3)

Classes start week of September 11, 2017 and end the week of May 14, 2018. There will be 32 sessions in the school year. The cost of the program for the year is $600. Various payment options are available. Classes are 30 minutes long, limited to 3 students and will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for students K2 to Grade 3. The Saturday classes are a parent and child class for students in grade K1. Time slots will be determined based on student’s ability and communicated by September 8, 2017.

VIOLIN TEACHERS

Morgan Scagliotti: B.M. Cleveland Institute of Music, M.M. Boston University. Ms. Scagliotti was the winner of the Solo Bach Competition in 2008 at Boston University and performs with the Portland Symphony. Suzuki Institute of Boston staff training program. She provides positive and supportive preparation for youth orchestra auditions.
Sonia Voskuil: BA Harvard University Extension School. Suzuki violin studies with Louise Wear, Durham, NH; violin studies with Robin Bushman, Strawberry Banke Summer Chamber Music Ensemble, Portsmouth. All-State violinist three years; All-New England; New Hampshire Youth Orchestra; Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Walter Eisenburg. Violin studies in Boston with Gerald Gelbloom, Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Recorder (K2)

Recorder classes for K2 and Grade 1 students (only if they have previously participated in recorder classes) will begin the week of September 11, 2017 and end the week of May 14, 2018. The yearly fee is $200. Classes will be held on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m.
