Member of the Saint Columbkille community since 2015
Growing up in Ireland Ms. McDaid was part of a small community, a society that was very close. She became very involved in community work and volunteering, helping at many youth programs throughout the years and she also raised a lot of money for various charities. Ms. McDaid learned about the importance of giving back to her community. When she moved to Boston she wanted to continue this lifestyle and became involved with shelters in the greater Boston area and volunteered on a weekly, and sometimes daily, basis. She also became involved with the American Liver Foundation and ran the Boston Marathon twice, raising money for this wonderful charity.
“It is my belief that we should all make a difference in the community we live in, and not be afraid to set goals for ourselves and help others pursue theirs.”
Ms. McDaid received a BA in English & Geography from the National University of Ireland and a BA in Liberal Studies from Lesley University.
