The Class of 1962 is a vibrant and close-knit group. With more than 60 classmates and friends in attendance, they celebrated their 60th reunion on Thursday, May 19, 2022. The event started with a "May Procession" from the Corrib Pub to the school. The group gathered in the gym for various speakers and presentations, including honoring their deceased classmates, remembering their teachers, and sharing photos from years gone by.
The class performed "Bring Flowers to the Rarest" with a piano accompaniment by Sr. Florence of the Sisters of Saint Joseph. Joe Tycz, husband of the late Michele Gill Tycz, received the Dedicated Alumni Award in her honor. He donated Michele's art supplies and gave a generous monetary donation to the school this year following her passing in June 2021. Jim Downey received the Class Spirit Award for all his dedication to the group.
Following the event at Saint Cols, the class made their way back to the Corrib Pub for lunch. It was a pleasure to host them for one of the first in-person events inside the school in more than two years.
