Saint Columbkille Partnership School likes to celebrate. The last few weeks of the school year include quite a few fun events for our families. The drama club performed Mary Poppins on Tuesday, May 31. A new family orientation was held on Tuesday, June 7. The preschool students showcased their musical talents in the Early Childhood Education Music Show on Friday, June 10. The popular Multicultural Potluck event was back this year on Friday, June 10. Families gathered on the plaza that evening to enjoy a potluck dinner with a variety of dinner items and desserts. Thank you to all who shared their culture with us!
“We had a wonderful time the other evening celebrating food, family, music and fun," says Kate Ward, Chief Advancement & Enrollment Officer, about the potluck event. "We are thrilled to welcome families back to school once again for special events that bring us closer as a community. A special thank you to Gilberto Rivera for the beautiful live music, and to all of the families who helped with set up and clean up. And of course, thank you to all of the families who shared their culinary delights for a fantastic feast!”
Field Day was held on Tuesday, June 14 outside on the field. Each grade level participated, with preschool classes doing an abridged version, including chalk, relay races, musical chairs, freeze dance and duck-duck-goose. Elementary students played musical squares, did a water balloon toss, three-legged race, jump rope and egg & spoon races on the field. 5th, 6th and 7th graders walked to McKinney field to play kickball and wiffle ball, tug of war, relay races and can jam/corn hole. Some of our 8th grade graduates came to help out, too.
