STCPS Awarded $75,000 Grant to Enhance Campus Security

We are proud to announce that Saint Columbkille Partnership School has been awarded the maximum grant amount of $75,000 under the FY25 Commonwealth Nonprofit Security Grant Program. This program, administered by the Office of Grants and Research (OGR), provided over $4.4 million to 82 organizations across Massachusetts, including faith-based institutions, community organizations, healthcare providers, and other nonprofits.

The grant will allow us to further enhance the security of our campus by upgrading our visitor check-in system and installing additional exterior lighting and surveillance cameras. These proactive improvements are designed to build on our existing safety measures, ensuring that our school remains a secure and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

“The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority,” said Jen Kowieski, Head of School. “We are grateful to have received this grant so we can continue to be proactive in maintaining a safe and secure campus.”

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the police officers of Allston-Brighton D-14 for their ongoing partnership and support in helping us ensure the safety of our school community. Their collaboration strengthens our efforts to provide a secure environment where students can thrive.

Receiving the maximum funding is a testament to the importance of these enhancements, and we look forward to implementing these upgrades to support our mission of fostering a safe, nurturing, and joyful learning environment.

Thank you to the Healey-Driscoll Administration, the Office of Grants and Research, and our local police department for their commitment to organizations like ours. We are excited to see these improvements come to life over the next few months.
