High School Placement

At Loyola Academy, our school counselor and teachers guide eighth-grade students through each step of the high school application process. We partner with private and independent schools around Boston, inviting their admissions representatives to meet with our students, share information, and answer questions.

Early in the school year, we provide time for students to start online applications and follow a calendar of important dates and deadlines. We host an info session for families early in the year to review the steps of the process. Teachers give feedback on application essays and help students prepare for interviews and entrance exams. Additionally, we offer an HSPT practice test on a Saturday in October.

Knowing each student well, our team writes detailed letters of recommendation for English Language Arts and Math, and compiles school reports and transcripts for each student's application.
