Loyola Academy Honors December “Loyola Leaders of the Month”
Grade 6 student Geovana Santos and grade 7 student Christopher Brice were named December’s “Loyola Leaders of the Month” (LLM), a program implemented to promote self-awareness, practice the Jesuit philosophy, and develop a greater sense of community among the middle school community.
“Geovana always has a smile on her face,” says Keyon Hurd, Assistant Head of School, Loyola Academy (grades 5-8). “She works hard and is always willing to help others.”
“Christopher is a very responsible student and a dedicated friend,” says Ms. O’Brien, Loyola Academy English/Language Arts teacher. “He is a leader and helps to keep his friends motivated and positive. His generous spirit is contagious and he is a great part of what makes our school community so special.”
Each month, one male and one female who have distinguished themselves and exemplify the two core values of Loyola Academy (“Magis” and “Women and men for and with others”) are recognized by the Loyola Academy team. Students also have the opportunity to submit votes for their peers who they feel have shown great strides in becoming a leader in our community.
