Rachel Rumely Director of Mission & Catholic Identity

Member of the Saint Columbkille community since 2008

Ms. Rumely grew up in the midwest in New Palestine, Indiana, but has lived in Boston for the last 10 years.  She is responsible for spirituality, marketing, social media and works on teams for admissions and technology at STCPS. Prior to her current position, she taught 2nd grade at Saint Columbkille, 3rd grade at Saint Patrick’s School in Roxbury and kindergarten at Saint Matthew School in Dorchester. Ms. Rumely has attended Catholic schools her whole life and she greatly values her experiences at these schools as they have helped form her into the person she is today.

Ms. Rumely completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education at Xavier University in Cincinnati. She was a member of the Urban Catholic Teacher Corps through Boston College, where she was a volunteer teacher for two years and earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Rumely recently received a second M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Boston College.
